JEMA formed a joint venture company, BSE USA, with BSE Company, Ltd. of Korea in 2000. BSE has grown from its start as a small electronics accessory company in 1987 to become one of the leading international market share leaders in microphone technology.

BSE is headquartered in Incheon, with additional manufacturing plants in Tien-jin, Dong-guan and Weihai in China. BSE has over 300 staff at its headquarters, and 2,500 employees in China.

BSE is committed to research and development, spending 20% of its revenues on R&D activities. In 1997 BSE established the BSE Electro-Acoustic Laboratory, the first of its kind in Korea. Today the laboratory is developing technology related to a new generation of microphones, including silicon MEMS and digital microphones.

BSE customers include Nokia, Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics and Sony Ericsson.

JEMA formed a joint venture company, Partron America, with Partron Korea in 2008. Partron, publicly traded on Korea's KOSDAQ exchange, was established in 2003 by 25 engineers from the RF group at Samsung Electro-Mechanics.

Partron has grown rapidly in the mobile communications industry since its founding in 2003. Partron spends approximately 14% of its revenues on research and development, focused on developing advanced technological and production capabilities for RF components used for mobile phones and base stations.

At Partron's Hwaseong (western Korea) headquarters over 100 employees are engaged in sales, R&D and prototype and pilot production. At the company's Pyeongtaek facility, almost 200 employees produce crystals, camera modules and antennas for mobile phones. Over 700 employees work at Partron's Yantai, China plant in Shandong Province, where chip antennas, GPS antennas and isolators are manufactured.

Mr. Jong Koo Kim, CEO of Partron, majored in mechanical engineering at Seoul National University and joined Samsung Electronics in 1973. Mr. Kim was involved in the development of the first color television in Korea, and was head of the Samsung Technology Research Institute, while at Samsung Electronics.

Partron customers include Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, Pantech, Huawei Technologies, ZTE and UT Starcom.

Additional information on Partron America is available at www.partronamerica.com.
